  • Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with the minced garlic and onion powder until brown and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and discard any excess grease.
  • Prepare the Casserole Base: Transfer the browned beef to a 9×13-inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom. Evenly distribute the cooked bacon pieces over the beef.
  • Mix the Egg Layer: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy whipping cream, salt, and black pepper. Stir in half of the shredded Cheddar cheese (8 ounces) into the egg mixture.
  • Assemble the Casserole: Pour the egg and cheese mixture over the beef and bacon layers, making sure to cover them evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 4 ounces of Cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
  • Serve: Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before slicing. This allows the layers to set, making it easier to serve.
