  • Combine and Cook: In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, evaporated milk, corn syrup, and butter. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, and let it boil for 3 minutes.
  • Mix in Flavors: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the pecans, coconut, and vanilla extract.
  • Stir to Cool: Continue stirring the mixture for about 4 minutes or until it begins to thicken slightly.
  • Shape Cookies: Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto wax paper, forming small mounds.
  • Set: Allow the cookies to cool and harden on the wax paper, about 30 minutes.
